The NNNGO’s Community is an online forum for members to discuss, share and connect with other members. The facilitated online space houses the three working groups‘ ongoing discussions between their meetings, as well as providing a space for participants at Alliance workshops and training events to network, ask any follow up questions and continue the conversation.
The Community is designed to facilitate connections between members looking for peer support or potential new partners, and those looking for answers to questions about international development. So far, members have used the community to find organisations looking to share space in shipping containers, to source guidance for social media communications carried out by volunteers, and to gather advice on setting up NGOs in particular country contexts.
The NNNGO Policy Committee also uses the Community as its principle method of communication outwith its biannual planning meetings, to collaborate on policy and advocacy work on things like consultation responses and agenda development for Cross Party Group Meetings and other political engagement activities. All members are welcome to get involved or simply stay up to date with the work of the Policy Committee through the Community.
By connecting with the broad range of organisations that make up the NNNGO membership, which encompasses over 150 different charities, universities and businesses working across Scotland and the world, you can find peer support and new opportunities to collaborate.
