At implementation, research on Nigerian laws that affect the operation of the civil society sector was conducted, conferences that focused on awareness creation on FATF and its recommendations among CSOs were organised while NGOs were convened across two regions in the country for capacity building workshops and engagement with the FATF mutual evaluation process, among others.
Part of outcomes of the project include the establishment of an informal civil society coalition which made concrete and valuable inputs to the FATF evaluation process and ensured the engagement of stakeholders in the implementation of outcomes of the evaluation.
