2013 Annual Conference

We are pleased to present to you the outcome and results of the 13th Annual Conference with the theme “Evolving with our Sector: Finding Alternatives to Funding our Work” held in Lagos on the 27 November 2013. This event attracted over 120 participants representing 100 NGOs from the six geo-political zones of the country.

While planning for this event, it became very clear to us at the Nigeria Network of NGOs Secretariat that alternative sources of funding is really about individual organizations evolving different funding stream for their work which as well calls for a collective sector wide action.

We were delighted to see participants interest and involvement in the discussion which highlighted their desire in realizing the objectives and focus of the conference in assisting participant’s to develop effective ways in which civil society organizations in partnership with other actors (government, donors and the private sector) can evolve alternative sources of funding for development.
